Internship Experience
Here I will briefly explain my role as an intern at an international company in Spain.
International Internship
Y-Strap Company
Seville, Spain
Y-Strap™ is a decompression tool used to stretch the back to release pressure from the vertebrae along the spine from top to bottom.
It is inspired by manual spine traction techniques in the Y-Axis to help reduce the tension in the vertebrae along the spine.
Social Media Marketing
As an intern at Y-Strap, I managed the social media accounts like Instagram and Facebook. I would upload three to five short videos a day to the Instagram story as well as posting videos or photos of the tool being used weekly.
European Market Research
I curated sister social media accounts to the main Y-Strap account to contact potential buyers from certain countries or regions. My job was to focus on the consumers in the UK and contact them about our product. The focus was to contact Chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists that are able to use the product safely.
Cost Analysis
After each month, I would evaluate the costs required to ship the product to different countries for the previous month. I became proficient in excel sheets and calculating potential costs of shipping these goods from Spain. I prepared a detailed cost analysis sheet of buyers, products purchased, costs of products, shipping location, and costs of shipping.
Counterfeit Research
As an intern at Y-Strap, it was my responsibility to ensure no other companies were trying to trademark or steal our product. I conducted research through various buying platforms like Ebay, Amazon, AliExpress, and more to have every counterfeit removed and reported.
