I have been a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma at Clemson since August 2020. Here at Clemson we are the Epsilon Mu Chapter and we support various philanthropic organizations. Our national philanthropy is Mental Health Awareness, through this we have chosen to support the JED Foundation to help prevent suicide in teens and young adults nationwide. We also support the Kappa Foundation which provides scholarships and emergency financial funds to Kappa members across the nation. Another organization we started at Clemson is called the Clemson Area Diverse Literacy program, where we hold a book drive every year to promote literacy within the Clemson community. Lastly, we have a program called Fleurish for our members to have the opportunity to gain full Kappa support in any philanthropic effort they want to represent.

Philanthropy Chairman
Kappa Kappa Gamma

As the philanthropy chairman for KKG I had many daily tasks to complete to make sure we achieved all of our fundraising goals for the year.

  • I tracked over 330 girls service hours throughout the school year through an excel program after they would submit proof of their service hours to me via Google Forms.

  • I created multiple service opportunities including: a canned food drive, Kappa Karnival, volunteering at a healthcare facility, and various proceeds events. Kappa Karnival is a new tradition I created as a community wide carnival to raise money for the JED Foundation.

  • I organized weekly emails with extensive service opportunities and chapter announcements where I would publicly speak.

  • We fundraised over $40,000 for the JED Foundation and The Kappa Foundation.

  • I also managed fundraisers, philanthropy events, mental health awareness weeks, and tracked over 1,500 hours of service throughout the chapter.

Clemson Miracle Network

Clemson Miracle is a student-driven philanthropic organization devoted to raising support for Prisma Health Children's Hospital of the Upstate. Through Dance Marathon, the Clemson community, Safe Kids Upstate, and Children's Miracle Network work together to make miracles happen.

Recruiter

I attended 10+ meetings throughout the school year to talk about recruiting members to join CMN. I also Tabled at multiple locations to advertise the main Dance Marathon event across the Clemson Campus. Through this I recruited 30+ new members to raise funds for the Greenville, SC PICU restoration. â€‹I fundraised over $1,000 on my personal fundraising page, and I even created a team fundraising page for my sorority to participate and earn service hours.

Clemson Sales Innovation Program

The J. Daniel and Nancy Garrison Sales Innovation Program (SIP) was founded in 2019 as a flagship program within the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business through an Academic Cornerstone donation by Dan and Nancy Garrison. The program focuses on being a nationally renowned resource for sales research, sales education and valuable academic partnerships.

As a SIP student I am required to attend all SIP meetings and complete all SIP assignments on top of my school courses. At SIP we have the opportunity to network with 16 partner companies through various events like sales pitch competitions or networking nights. Through this program I have been able to take advanced sales courses as well as participate in the Otis Elevator Sales Pitch Competition, where I was one of the top 10 contestants of this competition.
